HICK Tech

Year two was of course a rip-roaring success. A massive thank you to everyone that participated. A special thanks to my Premier Sponsor Everus. I absolutely could not have run HICK Tech this year without their participation.

I had a whole bunch of private victory moments. One of them had to do with the garb: a farmer bought one of the HICK Tech t-shirt and another farmer asked him if he was going to wear it hunting. The first one just smiled and tucked it under his arm. It's actually the perfect colour safety colour if you're out in the bush and not wanting to get shot by another hunter. HICK Tech: helpin' you out in ways you didn't even know about.

We had a few (private) moments of panic during the day. The biggest had to do with the alcohol. Even though the correct permits and licenses had been obtained I'd not filled out the initial insurance application correctly. At 1PM I was still working to get the insurance for 4PM so that we could serve beer. It was a close call but we made it and we ate birthday cake and we drank. Yay!
