OSCON down, Portland to go
After a blindingly fast week (thanks to Leslie and Cat and Matthew for taking care of me during the week; and huge thanks to Dan for rescuing me from the airport on Monday) OSCON is now over and a day away.
Yesterday I went out to the Oregon Brewer's Fest and drank beer with Matthew and Mako and Andy and Rob and Jacob and Alex. At least I think I got all those names right. I probably didn't though. I quite liked the Terminal Gravity IPA (and also tried the Dragon's Milk and another IPA by Hazel Dell that I didn't like quite as much). Then back to Selena and Scott's for dinner (rosemary and lamb sausages) and movies (Goonies, projected onto the wall of a garage).
After having the world's most amazing take-out waffles at Flavour Spot (Selena and Dawn):
we headed out to do the Tour de Coop:
I got some fantastic garden ideas and saw chickens and wanted to get a few of my own until they started talking about having to kill rats and raccoons to keep the birds safe.
And then we went for amazing lunch and then BBQ dinner and there was fabric shopping and yarn shopping and there was lots of walking and now beer and I'm totally exhausted. (Now Selena and Gab and I are hanging out and gossiping and crafting and checking hardware in Windows before installing Ubuntu and blogging and stuff.) But this time it's a good and honest tired that's making me happy. There's been so much stuff that's happened that I feel could be an entire blog entry all on its own, but it's all happening so quickly that I hardly feel that I can keep it all straight.

I'm SOOOO jealous of your day-after-OSCON. I'm lime-green with envy.
