Portable email

While Selena was driving me to the airport this morning I was scanning through my email and noticed that I was made the Slide Show Of the Day over on SlideShare.net. Woah. If it weren't for my blackberry I would have completely missed that I'd been promoted to SSOD. Let's face it: no one expects to be the SSOD (just like no one expects the Spanish Inquisition). These are the slides from my OSCON 2008 presentation, Form an orderly queue, ladies. I continue to be delighted that people are interested in the talk that I've spent over 100 hours preparing, travelling for, and presenting. I had no idea that my actions might actually be able to inspire people to make change happen. Thank you to everyone for their support as I struggle to find an appropriate voice for my own narrative to define and then describe the problem and most importantly to offer tangible solutions. I'm delighted and proud and exhausted and officially back at home in Owen Sound.
