The Zoo
There are currently three animals in the zoo. My zoo consists of (in order of appearance): Bailey T. Cat, Gir T. Rabbit and Mr. Pigglesworth as the Beaver. I mean the guinea pig.
Bailey the Cat
Loves Mr. Pigglesworth, does not love Gir. I've had her since 1996 and got her from Mike. Bailey and I have been through everything together. Not the least of which: three other dogs, another cat named Eddy (plus two other cats that were attached to roommates), and two hamsters (Mitchell then Mina). Bailey likes the small variety of animals best.

Gir The Rabbit
Gir is a French Angora Rabbit named after the sidekick on Invader Zim. Before getting Gir I'd declared in a fit of something that, "The next pet I get is going to be named GIR!" I didn't realise I would be getting a rabbit next. It actually suits him though. I spin Gir's Fur and knit it into things like mittens. Gir and Bailey do not get along as Bailey doesn't like anything larger than her. Sometimes, when she's feeling really brave, Bailey will biff Gir with a closed paw. It's not a scratching motion though and it makes a dull thwapping sound when she connects. Gir always looks at her sideways as if to say, "Dude. That is so not cool. And I am so twice your size and I am so going to kick your ass." And then he wanders off. Other random information: Gir moults his undercoat four times a year which is what I pluck off for spinning. But he gets shaved in the summer which is much cooler for him. He is litter trained and spends most of his time in a large wooden hutch that my (now ex) built for me. He no longer uses his ramp to get in and out of the hutch. He leaps.

Mr. Pigglesworth
I rescued my sister and adopted Airjet James from my niece and nephew. After calling him AJ for a short period of time I realised he was really Mr. Pigglesworth. Sarah and Zachery were briefly upset with the name change, but when they realised I was the one feeding and changing the litter on a regular basis we decided it might be ok. Pig (for short) is a typical guinea pig with a tendency for eye infections. This is combatted with echinacea in the water bottle and a warmer climate. It got really bad January 2006 and we almost had it amputated. ... but then we got the estimate from the vet and decided to try and figure it out at home. We did with sterile eye washes three times a day. His eye completely recovered and we are all amazed at the little dude's ability to recover. Mr. Pigglesworth does an awesome impression of the Blair Witch Project. There are no other pictures of him worth mentioning.
